- Billionaire Wolfgang Porsche, 79, has filed for divorce because his wife has dementia.
- Claudia Porsche’s health has deteriorated in the past two years, and she has four carers looking after her.
- The two have been together for 16 years and married for 4 years.
Wedding vows are an oath to live by, right? “For better, for worse, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by death”—not for this billionaire.
The youngest son of Porsche founder Ferry Porsche, Wolfgang Porsche, 79, has filed for divorce from his wife because she has a “dementia-like illness”.
The couple has been together for 16 years and married four years ago. NZ Herald reported that the 79-year-old wife’s illness has caused “drastic changes” to her personality; therefore, her dementia justifies their separation.
Claudia has reportedly not been able to work for several months and has been living with her daughter for two years and has four carers looking after her.
The Mirror UK reports that the Porsche family’s assets have been estimated at €20 billion (more than R392 billion).

While the divorce is in process, German news outlets have reported that since the separation, Wolfgang has been spending more time with his close friend of 25 years, 59-year-old Gabriele Prinzessin zu Leiningen.
Wolfgang has four children, two he shares with director and screenplay writer Susanne Bresser, who he married in 1988. The couple divorced in 2008.
