“Timeless” hitmaker, Davido has expressed pride in Rema and recognised him as one of the major Afrobeat singers in the Nigerian music industry.
During a radio interview on Kiss FM in UK, the female host inquired about the singer’s views on the afrobeats movement, prompting Davido to express his joy and admiration for fellow artist Rema.
He reminisced about the days when Rema used to hang out in his living room as a young boy, and how quickly he rose to stardom with the most popular Afrobeat song in history.

The 22-year-old singer was recognised by two of Football’s biggest players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.
Cristiano Ronaldo, had taken many by surprise as he shared a video of three of his kids dancing to Rema’s song, Calm Down.
The record-breaking footballer had shared the video to his 555 million followers via his Instagram story.
Neymar, had also taken to his social media page to share a video of him vibing to the singer’s song, as he revealed that he was still recovery.
“Recovery and CS go”, he captioned the post.
An excited Rema had taken to his Instagram page to repost Cristiano Ronaldo’s story.
Expressing gratitude, he wrote, “Ah Baba mi thank you oo”.
Davido expresses pride in Zlatan Ibile over his latest acquisition
In another news Davido recently hailed his colleague turned friend, Zlatan Ibile, over his newest acquisition.
Kemi Filani reports that the singer had splashed millions on an encrusted neck chain.
Davido who was mesmerized by the chain praised Zlatan for his continuous success and wins.
In a video posted online by podcaster and MC, Adesope Shopsydoo, Davido could be heard expressing pride in Zlatan.
Describing Zlatan Ibile as his little brother, he noted how the singer is continuously making money.

The singers’ friendship seems to be waxing stronger every year following the altercation they had in 2019.

Last year, Davido bought Zlatan’s T-Shirt for five thousand pounds (N2,716,590.17).
While buying the shirt, Davido said, “I don’t know how much this shirt costs but we don’t buy anything for the same price. I’m the first one to do it, I’m buying this shirt for five thousand pounds.”
