Fani-Kayode insisted that anger alone cannot fuel a movement as there must be a goal.

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has boasted that supporters of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi may suffer mental trauma after losing the 2023 presidential election.

Recall that followers of Obi are popularly known as the Obidient movement.

Speaking on the chances of Obi at the polls in his latest essay, Fani-Kayode insisted that anger alone cannot fuel a movement as there must be a goal.

He stated that though he takes Obidients seriously because they are a formidable movement, “they are more like a loose cannon than a guided missile”.

The former minister, however, expressed admiration about youths “venturing into the dark and murky waters of Nigerian politics”.

“I pray that they survive it and last, even if they don’t make an appreciable impact at the polls next year,” he said.

He warned them against expecting that their candidate would win the election and worried that they might suffer from mental trauma after Obi gets defeated.

He said, “I doubt that they will win one Senatorial district or one seat in the House of Representatives let alone a Governorship election or the Presidential election.

“It is at that time that we shall find out whether they are men and women or mere children venting on social media and expressing frustrations at public events.”
