The three-time African champions edged closer towards qualifying for the playoff spot of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers following a win over Liberia, but fans were still not satisfied

Nigeria national team football fans have once again hit out at Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr despite the 2-0 win over Liberia on Saturday.

Penalties from Victor Osimen and Ahmed Musa helped Nigeria to a 2-0 win over Liberia in their Group C 2022 World Cup qualifier at the Stade Ibn Batouta, Tangiers.

The win means the Super Eagles need just a point in their final group game against Cape Verde to seal a spot in the final playoff round.

However, despite the victory, the fans were not satisfied with the team’s overall play, with Rohr receiving most of the criticisms.

Rohr has been in charge of the Super Eagles since 2016, but the former Burkina Faso manager was criticised for his ‘boring’ tactics after Saturday’s game, with many saying the team has regressed under him.
